The collaboration between AITI – Association of Ticino Industries and Claudia Vece has led to the creation of a Group Coaching session dedicated to leaders and focused on the relationship between emotions, thoughts, decision-making and performance.
The initiative was designed as an intensive session combining theory and experiential practice, helping participants explore an often underestimated aspect of leadership: how a leader’s neuro-emotional state influences the quality of their decisions, relationships and performance.
During the session, participants had the opportunity to explore firsthand how certain emotional states can interfere with clarity, decision-making and managerial effectiveness, while directly experiencing Neuro-Emotional Leadership tools and techniques.
A leader’s performance does not depend solely on their skills, experience or ability to analyse a situation rationally.
Very often, the quality of a decision is also determined by the internal state from which that decision is made.
Fear, pressure, insecurity, frustration, anger, feelings of inadequacy or the need for control can affect the way we interpret what is happening, narrow our ability to see alternatives and influence our behaviour.
A leader may have an excellent understanding of their business and, at the same time, be unconsciously held back by internal dynamics that limit their clarity.
Fear can lead to postponing a necessary decision.
Pressure can push someone to act too quickly.
Anger can turn a managerial conversation into an impulsive reaction.
Insecurity can lead to excessive control and difficulty delegating.
The need for approval can make it difficult to stand by an unpopular but strategically sound decision.
Frustration can reduce the ability to listen and compromise the quality of professional relationships.
In all these situations, the issue is not necessarily a lack of professional competence.
It is the leader’s neuro-emotional state that is influencing the way they observe, interpret and respond to the situation.
The Group Coaching session developed with AITI was structured around a combination of theoretical insights and practical exercises.
The aim was not simply to understand intellectually how emotions work, but to enable participants to directly observe what happens within themselves when they are under pressure, facing change or dealing with a complex decision.
Through Neuro-Emotional Education and Leadership exercises, participants were able to recognise some of their personal automatic patterns and experience techniques for transforming disempowering internal states into conditions that better support clarity, presence and effectiveness.
The real value of the experience was therefore the opportunity to experience the methodology firsthand and observe its effects directly on themselves.
One of the fundamental goals of Neuro-Emotional Leadership is to create a space between what happens and the way we react to it.
It is within that space that a leader regains the ability to choose.
To choose how to interpret a situation.
To choose how to communicate.
To choose how to manage pressure.
To choose how to approach a conflict.
And, above all, to choose the internal state from which to make a decision.
Developing this ability means cultivating more conscious leadership and more sustainable performance, where results, the quality of relationships and neuro-emotional well-being become interconnected parts of the same system.
The project developed with AITI represents one of the possible applications of Neuro-Emotional Leadership Group Coaching.
These programmes can be designed around the specific needs of an organisation and delivered through sessions lasting a few hours, half-day or full-day workshops, or structured programmes spanning multiple sessions.
They can be delivered online or in person, combining coaching, training, discussion and practical experience.
The objective remains the same: to provide leaders with a space in which they can gain a deeper understanding of their own patterns, acquire new tools and transform awareness into a different quality of decision-making, relationships and action.
