Claudia Vece - Your Neuro Emotional Trainer

The collaboration between ATED Ticino and Claudia Vece has led to the development of a training program focused on a key topic for those who lead people, organizations and change processes: the internal strategies that influence success, performance and the ability to achieve our goals.

The program involved entrepreneurs, executives, managers, consultants, educators and professionals working with people and relational dynamics, guiding them through an in-depth exploration of their mental patterns, emotions and internal mechanisms that influence the way we approach challenges, opportunities and results.

The objective was not simply to acquire new skills, but to understand what happens within us as we strive to perform, grow or achieve an important goal.

Success does not depend solely on what we know how to do

Technical skills, experience, preparation and knowledge are certainly fundamental.

But they are not enough.

Two people with similar skills can react in completely different ways when faced with the same opportunity, the same pressure or the same risk.

One may feel motivated.

The other may freeze.

One may see possibilities.

The other may primarily perceive the risk of failure.

One may step forward, take a position and act.

The other may procrastinate, constantly doubt themselves or unconsciously scale back their ambitions.

The difference often lies not in professional skills, but in the system of thoughts, emotions, beliefs and neuro-emotional responses through which we interpret what happens to us.

Fear of failure and the mechanisms that limit performance

One of the key areas explored during the program was the relationship we have with success and failure.

Fear of making mistakes can lead to procrastination.

Fear of judgment can reduce our willingness to put ourselves forward.

Perfectionism can turn the pursuit of excellence into inaction.

Insecurity can create a constant need for reassurance.

The need for control can make it difficult to delegate.

The fear of not being good enough can lead us to avoid the very opportunities that could enable us to grow.

These dynamics often operate below the level of conscious awareness, ultimately influencing our behavior, relationships, decisions and results.

This is why working on performance also means understanding how our neuro-emotional system responds to the possibility of succeeding, failing, putting ourselves forward or embracing change.

Success as an internal state

Success is not simply an external result.

It is also an internal state that the nervous system must be able to sustain.

When our system perceives a situation as excessively threatening, even an opportunity can be experienced as a danger.

We may consciously desire change while, at the same time, unconsciously activating behaviors that pull us back toward what is familiar.

This is where the neuro-emotional dimension becomes fundamental.

Training our internal system means expanding our capacity to handle pressure, responsibility, visibility, change and growth without automatically shifting into a defensive mode.

In this sense, success is not simply about “doing more”, but also about becoming internally capable of sustaining what we want to achieve.

Soft skills and neuro-emotional competencies

The program developed with ATED Ticino integrated two complementary dimensions: soft skills and neuro-emotional competencies.

Soft skills help develop abilities such as communication, leadership, relationship management, self-awareness, adaptability and decision-making.

Neuro-emotional competencies operate at a deeper level: they involve the ability to recognize the internal states that influence these behaviors and learn how to regulate them.

It is not enough to know that we should communicate more effectively, delegate more or approach a situation with greater confidence.

We need to be able to do so even when our internal system activates fear, tension, insecurity or resistance.

It is through the integration of these two dimensions that truly sustainable change can emerge.

A deeper focus on the individual

During the training, participants were guided through a process of observation and experimentation that enabled them to explore their own mental patterns, thoughts and emotions.

The program combined theoretical content, personal reflection and experiential exercises, with the aim of turning knowledge into direct experience.

Understanding a mechanism is important.

But recognizing it as it unfolds within us is what truly allows us to begin changing it.

The program therefore provided participants with a space to observe their automatic patterns, recognize what supports or limits their performance, and develop internal strategies that are better aligned with achieving their goals.

From potential to the ability to sustain it

Working on the internal strategies of success ultimately means focusing on a fundamental question:

How prepared are we—not only professionally, but also neuro-emotionally—to sustain the level of achievement we want to reach?

An important part of performance is shaped at this intersection of skills, identity, thoughts, emotions and behavior.

This is precisely where Neuro-Emotional Leadership operates: helping people and leaders better understand their internal functioning, transform the mechanisms that limit action, and develop a greater capacity to sustain responsibility, change, growth and success.
